Supported Projects


2008

1.  Blanket Drive-for homeless in NYC

2009

1.  Holiday Gift Giving for Homeless in Bailey's Shelter, Falls Church, Virginia
    We distributed socks and sweatshirts in December 2009. Sleeping bags to be delivered in           February 2010.
 
2.  English Classes for 35 children in Cambodian Children Orphanage for Living & Training. 
     We have provided the Orphanage for the Living & Training expense for 35 children.


 
2010

1.  Nimrod Music Project in Africa-supported an after school program to encourage music as         an extracurricular activity as a method of keeping children occupied, under supervision,             safe, and off the streets. Your gift brought joy and happiness into these children's lives             during the New Year.

4.  RVPCO and DISHA recently came together to present Lecture in Human Rights Education.          This lecture focused on Human Rights Education for children in India.  Our Volunteer, Jyoti      Singh, personally visited several schools in Chennai in February and talked to kids who's          lives were effected a great deal with these Human Rights education camps. 

5.  Jyoti Singh's stayed in Madham, Widow center for one week, supported food supplies                quartely.

2012

5.  The Varli Summer Tasting Charity Event-2012 contestant Jyoti Singh, RVPCO member provided food tasting at the Varli Summer Tasting benefiting Diya Foundation's Save a Child campaign !

7. Promoted and contributed to Komal Jhaveri's Breast Cancer Research Project

​8. In October, 2014 Jyoti Singh and Sumeet Verma Visited Haiti - L'hopital General, Port Au Prince. The had a fruitful visit to the TB clinic & awesome work done by Dr. Coffee.  They delivered medicines and other necessary supplies.


9. Supported three (3) families of farmer's who committed suicide as part of the Farmer's Suicide project supported since 2012


2014

1.  Visited a Hospital in India and Vatsalya Foundation for Children in Mumbai.  We spent time with the children and in the hospital trying to figure out the future collaboration and needs.  We were unable to do any further projects with the hospital as the hospital was not willing to take any help although it was needed. However, the Vatsalaya foundation, we were able to provide some supplies and developed relationship for providing support as needed

8. RVPCO Member, Jyoti Singh was invited as a Distinguished Guest for panel discussion @ "SEMINAR ON EMPOWERING WOMEN & GIRLS", organized by NFIA.  When: Friday, September 19, 2014. Venue- Diya Restaurant, 2070 Chain Bridge Road, Vienna, VA 22182. m.


2015


​1.  RVPCO members promoted and attended Farber’s newest testimonial play, “Nirbhaya”.  The play was based on a fatal gang rape that occurred on a bus in Delhi, India, in 2012, it hit far too close to home for many.  The play recounts the horrific 2012 tragedy and uses it as a catalyst for cast members — who are all survivors of sexual violence — to share their own testimonies.

2.  Helped Raise funds for Nepal Disaster and donated through Amma's organization. 

3.  Supported the dream of Louisburg College colleague William Byrd Wilkins who was unfortunately diagnosed with terminal Pancreatic cancer.  His final wish was a trip to New York City to see a Broadway show. We promoted his last wish through social media and helped get donations and helped give a smile on this mans face.

2016


1. Valentine Day perfume and Candy Celebration - Gauri Singh represented the organization by making a sudden visit on Valentine Day and giving perfume and candy boxes to the 35 Women at the Helen Wright Women's Shelter of Raleigh, NC.


2.  Supported and Promoted  "Miss Heart of the USA - NC" program.  Gauri Singh - was inducted as the "Miss Heart of the USA Queen for Franklin County, NC for 2016".  This organization helps with Food Drive by collection non perishable food cans for the Hungry across the state.  This program also empowers women and encourages them to do get involved in humanitarian activities around the state and win points for doing charity work.    


3. Vatsalaya Foundation - Jyoti Singh represented the rvpco organization and attended the home for homeless children on Valentine's day to donate books, supplies, school bags for 100 children in the home.  She also had a party for the children to celebrate the day.  The children performed.


4. Toys for the kids Haiti project - Berleen Joseph went on a mission trip to Haiti, and spent time in the Orphanage and delivered many toys for the kids.
