Project 2012

1. Screening of a Documentary: "A Little Revolution"

RVPCO, www.rvpco.com presented on January 20, 2012 a Screening of a documentary by Hapreet Kaur, "A Little Revolution-A Story of Suicides and Dreams"

715pm: Cold Drinks and Snacks were served (donated by our volunteers)
8:00pm Screening of the film @ Russel Hall Teachers College, Columbia
9:00pm Skype question/answer with producer, Manmeet Singh and Director, Harpreet Kaur

As you may know, sadly there is a significant problem of farmers committing suicide in India. To what extent government-promised subsidies which were not delivered have played a role in this dilemma continues to be a topic of research.

At RVPCO, instead of researching the underlying problem, advocating/lobbying, or discussing/debating, our goal is to support and nurture. Respected filmmaker Harpreet Kaur from Washington DC spent significant time in India portraying many such suffering families in her documentary “A Little Revolution - A Story of Suicides and Dreams."

Please join us in raising funds for these families: Even a dollar can help

Our charitable project for this year arose from direct personal interaction with Harpreet Kaur.

The statistics are horrifying. For more information, feel free to check out:
