"Blanket Drive Project" for the homeless
 
For those of you who have donated, thank you for your generous donations.

Amount Raised: $920 (includes pledged amount)
 
Number of blankets purchased: 113 (Exceeded our goal of 75 blankets)
 
Average price for each blanket was: $6.46

Surplus Amount: $190 (to be used for future charitable projects, unless otherwise specified)

80 blankets were purchased brand new from Kohl's at the same rate as from the Goodwill stores (after our 15 % discount). 33 blankets were bought from Goodwill stores.

30 blankets were distributed to a Homeless Shelter in Brooklyn.

30 blankets were distributed to a women homeless shelter in Brooklyn. The Broadway House Women Shelter serves 165 women, some of whom are mentally ill and chemically addicted

40 blankets were distributed to homeless men and women living with HIV/AIDS in a shelter called,
The Doe Fund, Inc.
